Languitecture is an interdisciplinary project founded by Rawan Serhan in 2014. It combines language, art and design under one sphere of cultural and social connections. By 2021, our work has expanded to include performing arts and social engagement.

The project began as a single question: Can we uncover how the slow metamorphosis of language takes place?

As part of the investigatory process, Rawan curated the art exhbition Languitecture The Construction and Deconstruction of Language in 2016 in London. In 2018, Rawan began the second edition of the project Languitecture II in Amsterdam.

Throughout the process of artistic interaction and making, we witness the transmission of meaning across the formal and rhetorical boundaries of the artwork, how the artworks are self-contained and distinct, yet, interconnected with other pieces at the same time.
